Garmin Varia RCT715 Rearview Radar with Camera and Tail Light

The Garmin Varia RCT715 is the latest iteration of the cycling tech giant’s tail light safety system that alerts you to fast-approaching vehicles.

The Varia RCT715 uses the same radar technology as its predecessors. It will notify riders of vehicles approaching from behind at a distance of up to 140m when coupled with a Garmin cycle computer or smartwatch. According to Garmin. the device is compatible with a few cycling apps. including Ride with GPS. Users will be able to overlay maps with radar notifications thanks to this.

The built-in camera continuously captures images and saves them when it notices an occurrence up to 1080p/30 frames per second. It can recognize when an incident happens and automatically save video from the moments leading up to and following the incident. Battery life for the radar. daytime-flashing taillight. and camera recording is up to 6 hours.
